Description

Champion Chibi: A Beginner's Guide

So you've got a tiny hero, a shadow valley, and thirty levels standing between the two. Champion Chibi doesn't waste time on tutorials or hand-holding, it just drops you into the first stage and lets the jumps do the talking. Go in expecting something in the vein of old-school side-scrollers, the kind where timing matters more than button-mashing, and you'll settle in fast.

How To Play

On a keyboard you'll use A and D to shuffle your Chibi left and right, W to hop over gaps or onto platforms, and K when something needs a punch instead of a polite step-around. If you're on a phone, the same moves live in touch buttons right on the screen, so nothing gets lost in translation between desktop and mobile. Each level is built around getting from one end of the map to the other while stars sit scattered along the way, tempting you off the safe path. Grabbing every star bumps your score for that level, but the valley isn't exactly welcoming, so half the fun is figuring out which routes are worth the risk and which ones are a fast way to restart from checkpoint. The colorful backdrops almost trick you into relaxing, right before a gap or enemy reminds you this thing has actual teeth.

Pro-Level Advice

  • Learn the rhythm of each level before chasing stars, dying mid-collection wastes more time than it saves.
  • Hold off on the K attack until an enemy is actually in range, swinging early just gets you punished.
  • Watch platform edges closely, a lot of the tougher jumps ask for a half-second pause before you commit.
  • Replay earlier levels once you're comfortable, they're a decent way to farm a higher star count without much pressure.
  • On mobile, keep your thumbs anchored near the touch buttons instead of reaching, precision drops the moment your hand shifts.
  • Treat the later levels like puzzles first and platforming second, most deaths come from rushing a section that actually wanted patience.
